• How Are We To Give?

  • We Are To Give Cheerfully.

It was God’s good pleasure to create an abundant world. He then gave us Jesus so we could have life and life abundantly.
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. - 2 Corinthians 9:7

    We Are To Give Regularly.

God’s love and provision is given to us faithfully. We demonstrate our faithfulness through regular, committed giving.
On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income. - 1 Corinthians 16:2*
*this Scripture also reveals we are to give proportionately.

    We Are To Give Sacrificially.

God’s greatest gift to us was that of His Son. We, as Christ followers, are beneficiaries of the most costly sacrifice ever made. How can our response to Him be anything other than sacrificial? And remember, when it comes to giving sacrificially, it is not the size of the gift but the condition and position of the heart.
As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. "Truly I tell you," he said, "this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she ,out of her poverty, put in all she had to live on." –Luke 21:1-4
